Hey Jim, any chance you want to start this up again? Or know anywhere I can still get one? Or possibly want to send me the plans or blueprint so I can make my own?

Midwest needs a core. I had mine done with my spare 'nub'

You can borrow mine, core fee is whatever the thing costs to replace new from Ford or ZF. Mail old back, get core fee back. You are paying freight both ways. No asking for a break or to cut you slack.

How much shorter is the shift throw with this? Are you worried about destroying your syncros faster?

They claim around 15-20% Been forever since I had a stocker but I recall it much longer. It makes it more notchy when cold, but to be expected.

Not worried about hurting my fresh trans. Just do not shift it like a triple carbon fiber cone syncro T56 and you will be fine. It is not a fast shifting unit, as all gears have but one syncro.

Increase their life by rev matching all the time. And always keep clutch in and go to 5th then to reverse. Drops right in every single time.

Thanks for responding. I'll have to do this some time. My trans needs new synchros pretty bad. Real show shifts at higher RPMs unless I rev match really well. I am trying to get carbon synchros made for our trucks but it's looking like it's not going to take off. Not enough interest to make it happen. I feel like it would be real nice though. Would give us much faster shifts and make the synchros wear slower. Might have to run something other than ATF in the trans though.
