Good morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!
Man did I finally sleep well last night!!!
I'm glad I got some rest because this weekend when I get home I'm laying a bunch of 3/4" oak flooring in our family room and then if I make good progress I'll move upstairs to start on the bedrooms up there. I'm ripping up ALL CARPET in the house...all told I'll be installing another 1200 sq. ft. of hardwood in the house...man my back is going to hurt from bending over that darn nailer!!!...my goal is to do the 400sq. ft. in the family room although I have some hand machining and finish cuts to match up to a 45 degree section that will take me some time for those ~14 rows where I'll have to mitre the cut and then cut in a groove to fit into the matching tongue on the transition piece...having to match up to existing flooring will slow me down and being I have to machine a custom transition piece...well that will take time too...once I finish the family room...the upstairs is a blank canvas and should be much quicker...
But on all of these projects since we had carpet there...I'll have to finish with new shoe molding too...which also takes time to do that finish carpentry...
The last time I laid this much hardwood (1000sq. ft.) in our house was when we built it and that was when I was 15 years YOUNGER...man am I going to be tired!!!
Anyone wishing to learn how to do hardwood flooring and has a strong back...come on over this weekend!
Have a great day everyone.
Joe.

Rick,
I'm going to getter done...that's my plan...it's the other pansies...err I mean FTE'rs in this thread that are fearing the work! LOL
I know I'll be sore...but thankfully I'm in fairly decent shape...although this will be using muscles in a different way than I typically work them out so that will make for sore times the following day!
