Morning Neil. Seems Ford always gets messed up with fuel and fires. Remember the Pinto? Police cars, cruise control etc. Speaking of fires.. we had a big one at a Cayuga Lake home 2 nights ago (about 3 miles from me). Waterloo and Seneca Falls even came down. As well as Varrick, Ovid, Interlaken, Canoga, Lodi, Enfield, along with Trumansburg. Guy parked his older Saab in the carport, about 1/2 hr later the place was in flames.

Sounds like it was a 'surround and drown' type of fire. Which means that there was no saving the place so you go on the defensive and protect the exposures. I also bet that all of the departments that we called in were for tankers due to no or limited public water supply.

Truck committee meeting tonight at the fire hall. I have found a used rescue that is in very, very good shape, it will fit in the hall with no renovations needed and is under the price that our president stated.

Evening all. Already had some major excitement with the new FD. Car vs. motorcycle with a less than desirable outcome, structure fire, multiple EMS calls. It's been real busy. Did I mention that one of the two sirens is across the street from my house?

Afternoon Brad. I have a volly station down the street and around the corner from my house. another one is maybe 10 minutes from home. and a few more a little further out.

Evening Shaun, Brad, Don, Neil. No sirens in our town ... some idiot newby complained to the idiot mayor so the siren got shut down. Then the idiot newby left town 2 weeks later. On the bright side got the new pump for the truck today and everything back together. That 460 needs 2 tanks to get around.
