OT - We had to put my daughters dog down!
Just had to get it off my chest. We adopted a 8 week old Germen Sheppard pup 2 weeks ago... That ended up having parvo and with other complications the Hospital told us that it would be the best for him. His name was Boston Duke and we gave him a loving home in the end. It's surprising how attached we can get in such a short time. We love you Boston, RIP!

Thats hard, we had a 175 lb english mastiff, he was my inlaws dog but we took him bc they didnt have any room for him at their new house, they had two mastiff's believe it or not we took the smaller one. We think he had a heat stroke last summer and he couldnt walk on his own and ended up putting him down, best dog ive ever had or known, could walk around the neighborhood and hed walk right by your side the whole time. That sucks sorry to hear that.

Sorry to hear about your pup. I lost a different kind of pet today. One of my cows dropped a pretty little bull calf Friday. He did well until today. I found him almost dead up in the woods. He died while I was trying to make him take a bottle. Sucks to lose an animal. Especially the young cute ones.

All I know is that Boston knew we all loved him and that we did everything we could to try to save his life. He will be missed... RIP Boston! I would like to think he is playing with you Calf, Mountaindoc! Hope tomorrow will be better for us all!

I've had shepherds since I was a teenager....we lost our 14 year old right after the holidays.....so my heart goes out to you. Oddly, we occasionally provide a foster home for the german shepherd rescue society....last year they asked us if Max could stay with us until they found a permanent home for him....as soon as I saw him, I said that Max had just found a permanent home..
