Basically the same motor. Differences are injectors turbo and hpop. Otherwise the same internals and such performance wise.

A 95 to 97 engine in a superduty or a 1999 to 2003 engine in an OBS. Just thought it be an interesting swap, old with the new.

Its the same motor... Remove the injectors, turbo and HPOP and a 95-97 7.3 is the exact same as a 99 to 2003 7.3.

Correct, but the cam has the same cut on it... It is no different. I am running the OBS cam in my truck...

in 2001 they went to Powdered Metal Rods, they are not lighter, just made a different way. They are fine to 400-450hp, beyond that Forged are a better option.

But again, they are the same motor... Swapping a 2003 7.3 into an OBS is nothing special, just like swapping a 1996 7.3 into a 2003...

I guess what I was trying to say is to run the 99-03 7.3 in a OBS you would have to change the cam or elec fuel
