I got a replacement pulley from O'Reilley yesterday, but I have no idea which way to put it on because the old pulley appears to have fallen off, leaving the hub.

Which also explains the O-ring my mom saw come bouncing out from under the truck on the way home from Montana.

So if someone could post a picture of their pulley ASAP, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the pictures of the part they gave me, insisting it is the correct part...

Question is, which way does it go on? And why does the washer not fit one way and it rubs on the arm the other way?

 

All I have ever seen go on as in the top photo.... with the solid part out.

 

my 460 does not look like that. Anyways it should be solid side away from the mount.

 

Thanks guys. All installed, works great. I had to ditch the funny-shaped washer but I don't anticipate any troubles.
