Where to find Paint code in the Vin number?

Looking to find the paint code for my 2002 F-350.It is a dark gray but the paint shop told me there are 3 different shades of gray for 2002.They didn't really know where to find the code either so hoping someone on here can. Thanks in advance.

The interior trim code should be on the same sticker.

All I can see is the code 9E, which from what I can figure means

9 — Leather 40/20/40 seats with integrated restraints, F-Series
E — Medium Flint, F-Series/Excursion

I imagine there is a mix code somewhere that I could use to have paint made to match?

There are a number of places that will match the trim color. I got a can of matched spray paint for my gauge pod from dieselmanor.com

DieselManor - Plastic Gauge Pod Interior Paint

Was that a close match? I have read a few reviews that said it wasn't very close. Maybe just a bad batch they got or something

I couldn't tell the difference between the painted part and the interior, myself. You have to be really careful painting to make sure you don't get it too thick or get runs, but it looks pretty good.
