Help with 20" OEM wheel fitment

I'm looking for a set of 20" OEM wheels in either of these two styles:

Or...

**If the above trucks are yours, sorry for re-posting your pics! Consider it a form of flattery...:-) **

If I go with either of those wheels, what will I need to do? Will I still need hubcentric spacers? Do I need a suspension lift?

I'm also suspecting I'll need a gear swap?!? It looks like these wheel/tire combos are a lot taller and would kill my gear ratio, no???

My truck is 2wd, '04 Ex with 3.73's

You need hub-centric spacers ... and that's all I used. I did not lift my '05 4WD EB. I did have to use a few tie-wraps to pull back the inner-fender on the driver's side about 1/2-inch. And though my gearing (and MPG) has suffered a bit, my speedometer reads only about 2% below my GPS speed. If I was towing more than 6K pounds on a semi-regular basis, I'd consider changing the gears ... otherwise, it's not worth the added cost. Here's a link to mine on Craigslist ...

I have an 05 Ex with OEM 20" wheels. I purchased hubcentric wheel adapters from www.wheeladapters.com. I originally purchased the 2" spacers that everyone uses, but upon speaking to some real experts at Red's in Miami (the makers of the very popular Diesel Wheels) he recommended that I go with 1.5" spacers in the front and 1.75" spacers in the rear (or vice versa). The standard 2" adapter causes the factory size tire to rub severely. I had Fred at wheeladapter turn new spacers with the above specs, and I am incredibly happy. In the interest of full disclosure I also added a leaf spring to the front and rear, and my tires rarely rub lightly when backing up on a slope with the steering wheel hard over.

The guys at Reds said that the wheel adapters from wheeladapters.com were overkill (they typically use aluminum instead of solid stainless steel), but for a guy like me that typically is against things like wheel adapters, I felt much safer with them. They are SOLID!

I am a new member and hope to post some photos of my truck soon. Hope this helps!

All I used was the hubcentric spacers and 4 wheel alignment after I installed the rims. My Wheels don't rub at all!! No suspension change or lift, Didn't change gear ratio either. Truck runs great.

I like the look of King ranch wheels . Found set on local adds and was wondering if
800$ sounds good for price(just wheels)?
How much 20" tires go for and how's the ride?smooth?rough?
Need new rubber anyway so I'm thinking to go bigger.
1.5" front and 1.75"rear spacers ? what about rotation front to rear?
Guess not much difference to be noticed?
Thanks for tips.

I went with the KR wheels ... was a set of new take-offs for $1,500 (included tires). I think you'll need 2" thick spacers at all four corners. 1.5" & 1.75" won't get you past the ends of the studs.

Anybody have the 20" wheels that is towing heavy? I keep wondering about converting to 4.30 axles at the same time.

Wheels/tires: $1.5 - $2.0K
Hubcentric spacers: $0.6K
4.30 axles front/rear: $?K

So, this conversion could cost on the order of $3K - $4K?

Can anybody say what the axle swaps would cost?
