16" diameter rims on a 81 f250 4x4

I have a 81 F250 4x4 and I put 16" black wagon wheels to replace the 16.5 rims that were on it (tires much cheaper). I know the later f250s came with 16" rims.

Will the later model 16" stock rims fit my 81 4x4 f250? I want to use it as a spare.
Thanks..................ron

Yes it will. Don't get up into the late 90's though, they went metric around then.

F350s changed in 98 I believe. The F150s changed to the new style in 97 but the 250s and 350s held over one year.

There was no 98 model year 99 was the first SuperDuty with the metric bolt pattern. E series kept the standard non metric bolt pattern.

I learned it while searching for the Alcoas, I am pretty sure even the 2011 vans use the standard 8 lug pattern. A lot of guys grab the rear ends from junk yards because they are disc braked 8 lug.
