hey guys, i have a 08 f250 4x4 v10 "gas" with 47K miles on it. cracked windshield"NOT BAD" and a small fender dent. im trading it straight across for a 07-08 edge. fully loaded with black leather only have 46K miles on it. does this sound like a good trade? what problems should i be looking for in a edge?

I don't know how tall you are but if your 6 feet or taller you might not like the smaller compartment.

I would think the truck is worth more than the edge. Have you looked into selling the truck yourself and taking that $ back to the dealer to buy the edge? If you do go that route, it might be worth having the windshield replaced before selling. Then again, a V10 gasser may not do well in the used market with 3.70/gallon fuel.

 

i would keep the truck but i have a newborn now and car seats suck in a xlt extended cab plus gas sucks dick tooo..

 

well I have both a 2007 edge and a 2008 F350 CC......i would never think it would be an even trade. truck is worth more. look up blue book values on both. As far as the windshield goes. Doesnt your insurance cover the replacement? I know mine does.

 

Just did this same thing,new job is gonna require me to travel a little and the V10 wasnt gonna cut it. So far I love this damn Edge,neat little ride. Of course I always miss the F250,but I dont miss the gas mileage,lol.

 

lot more bells and whistles on the Edge ? WE have a 2010 and it is GREAT and the milage is nice when doing long trips. They are fairly comfortable when driving. You cant compare to a F250... like comparing an airplane to a boat.. Not the same. Good LUCK!
