34.5" Will it fit?
I am looking at 2 34.5 inch tires they are 315/75 r16 All terains I'm looking at them because he doesn't want much for them and the price of 2 new ones isn't to bad I have as my user name says a 1986 f250 xlt 4x4 but what it doesn't state is that it is a 6.9 diesel which I know makes the front end sit just a little lower I'm wondering if they will fit at all without lift I know they will rub the leaf springs in the front during turning but other than that will I have clearance issues until it's lifted?

I eventually want 3 inches of lift but I have to say that is one beautiful truck (I hope I can get my old girl looking that good again) I also have to ask do you know what Is used to seal your moon visor? I Picked one up at my local jy and the person didn't have anything sealing it and you can tell it was leaking

There are a couple of guys on here that swear they can fit the military 36/12.5 R16.5 tires on F350s with stock suspension so it might be possible. I wouldnt think the F350 would sit any higher than the F250 although it kinda depends on how weak your suspension is if its hanging lower in the front or not.

Yup, F350s sit taller thanks to the straight axle and flat springs (not neg-arch like the TTB springs) I have a set of military 37s on my stock 86 F350 6.9idi. Only trimmed a small piece off of the fronts of the fenders. Clears fine for driving, hauling and beating it around, at least until I can lift a bit for more clearance.
To squeeze 35s on a 250, you'd at least need to cut the front fender pieces like I did to not rub and smash them up, and even then you'll probably have issues. I'd say stick with 33s if you need new rubber, or buy these and put them in the garage until you can get money for the lift together.

Also to the original poster that started this thread, I caught something in your first post. A lift will not keep the tires from rubbing the leaf springs. New wider wheels will though, and of course you need a lift to clear the tires if you are sticking them out beyond the truck farther with wider rims.
