Anyone have a 4x4 F-Superduty?

The Mmarmon-harringtons used a Carrero front axle that was a passenger side pumpkin, with a T-case that had a passenger side front drive shaft. Putting it under the stock F-SD springs eliminated any clearance issues. Quigleys used a BW 1356 T-case and a D60 or D70 axle. Quigley put an adapter plate on the T-case in place of the tailshaft housing to mount the park brake. I'd love to find one of those adapters, as well as the Quigley 10-lug hubs for a D60...

The F-superdutys did NOT always have more springs. And More doesn't mean anything either.
Both of my F-superdutys had 5 leaf rear springs and 2 leaf fronts.
A set of springs from a F-superduty I put in my pulling truck were 8 leaf.
It was all on how it was spec'd out

Hi Brad,
No further progress. I don't plow any more, so it's not urgent, and it just hasn't made it to the top of the priority list.
Is the t-case you bought a BW1356? I'd love a pic and some dimensions of the adapter for the brake...
I have a diagrams & rebuild procedures for the brake, if you'd like.

A friend of mine called me asking if I had any interest. HE got the front axle from another guy who got it from a pick-n-pull. Then he went back and got all the tother stuff. Its good that people know I collect these trucks. LOL. Going to look at 2 F-superdutys today.
I'll get pics as soon as I have all the parts
Anyone know I I should get the leaf springs too? The fronts that is. Did they use different ones on the 4wds?

Now back to the thread, sort of... How common are 4x4 F350 chassis cab trucks? Someday I'd like to convert my tow truck to 4x4 and figured if I could get another chassis cab truck I could just swap the bed over. Otherwise I'd have to convert a 2wd frame to 4x4. I know that's been done before. All I'd need is the dually front hub adapters and a parts truck.

I had a truck that a customer wanted the frame from for his wrecked F350. I was not certain if it would work, so I called Ford and they CONFIRMED they are the SAME frame
137" wb is one
161" is another
O and they are both 1/4" the whole way
As for the Central hydraulics, it is a belt driven hydraulic pump. They way the accessory can be used with the truck in neutral, park, what ever. It is really nice, just a lot of hydraulic lines

If I ever convert the tow truck to 4x4 I would also convert from the PTO drive hydraulics to a belt drive. They say you're not supposed to drive with the PTO engaged, but I don't know. Maybe it's a non-issue but I'm thinking I could do a plow and run it off the hydraulics and/or a front hydraulic winch. The rear winch, boom and wheel-lift are all hydraulic PTO driven.

Here's a little tow truck ****. It's from the sales brochure that came with the tow truck I just bought. It states that the F350 frame is 3/16 whereas the F-SD frame is 1/4"
