Wll...What about 11, 360lbs total weight on a F-150?

My truck, me, trailer, and a 1976 Dodge 1-ton dually.....

It pulled it...But sure didn't like it.....lol

Yeah, but the circumstances were such that I ended up with 4-1/2 yards of decomposed granite in it... Luckily I only needed to go about 5 miles, and didn't have to go over 30mph... I was really impressed the F350 did as well as it did, and grateful the hydraulics were able to lift the bed... It was sitting on the stops, and a real squishy ride. These ol' trucks are pretty tough.

for the first 5-6 years of it's life, my 88 pulled a 20,000 lb load almost every day all over the tri state area of ny, nj, and pennsy.
a 17,000 lb komatsu mini excavator, and a 3,000 lb trailer.

I also want a F-Superduty 4wd. I have only seen one in person. It had the factory parking brake behind a BW1356. I read somewhere that the input and output splines are the same on that transfer case. The one I saw had a flat adapter plate between the two. It also had a huge 10 lug front end. I need to see if I can get some pics.

The parking brake and the 10lug front hubs are the biggest setback.

Both are a speciality made idem from Quigley, Marming Harrington, and one other. All which I believe no longer make any of the part needed

It's not 4x4 yet, haven't had enough time to work on it.
It was just last weekend that I got the wiring & interior back together.
I just ordered the 5.13 gears for the D60 today...
A buddy is a machinist. I'll draw up the adapter for the park brake and he'll make it for me.

I remember reading an article about a guy that took an F-superduty and made it into a 4wd pickup with a regular bed. I think the article was in off road magazine back in the late 90's.

for the front axle issue, what about just using a front axle from one of those trucks? then have holes drilled for old lug bolt pattern and or adapter to accept older wheels?
or is that even an issue on these size trucks? i shouldn't just assume they changed lug pattern in '99 like they did on the pickups without knowing.

a t-case to go with parking brake just for some crawl gearing would be a big bonus though.

oh man.remember that recent thread with the guy who bought that green Davey tree service 4wd chip truck? didn't he post some pics of the brake/t-case setup.man i can't find that one..........ah here it is;

oh dangit.did you happen to save a pic of this when he posted it Brad,Phy or anyone?

Mine's still not 4x4. I just haven't had the time... I am still going to do it, and I'll take the tailshaft housing off of the T-case, and make an adapter plate for the park brake. That's how Quigley did it, but they had no parts, and couldn't/wouldn't send me a print for it...
