EGR????
I have a 95 with a 460 Can a bad EGR make my truck run like it's miss firing??? but there is no back firing. It actually has gotten worse over the last few days and actually shut off on me to today RPM's got really low and just died but restarted. It sometimes shuts off when shifted into reverse and if it doesn't shut off the RPM's drop really low and wants to shut off.
And secondly my mechanic said the codes were saying that it could also be a bad fuel pump. But I have the dual tanks and it runs the same on each tank so I was wondering if there is a external fuel pump? If so where would it be? And could this make the truck act like this?

If it's a fuel problem, I'd look at the fuel pressure regulator since the same thing is happening on both tanks. In your '95 there's only going to be the in-tank pumps; no external pump. My girlfriend's '98 Contour exhibited some of the same issues and it ended up being the fuel pressure regulator was allowing fuel to run into the engine when it was off. Is your truck worst at startup and gets better as it runs, or is it the other way around?

It is really bad when stopped and and occasionally as I'm driving.
