Engine mounts

Can anyone in the Aussie chapter help me to source, or point me in the right direction, a set of engine mounts to put the 460 into my '79 4x4.
It had the 351c in it and it's proving hard to find info about them.

Thanks Brian.
The West Coast Bronco mounts will bolt to the 460 obviously, but I'n not sure of attatching them to the 351c mounts.
I am really hoping to have enough mount to be able to drill a hole through the whole lot and run a bolt through it, (left one) instead of chaining the block down.

That writeup was a good read but the thought of lifting that big hunk of iron in and out doesnt sit well. It'll be enough of a headache if I decide to get a set of mandrel headers made. lol

It was a 351c. The '79 has towers with a biga** hole in the centre and nothing I've seen so far looks anything like that.
Because our American friends didn't get the 351 option in the '79 4x4 they have no mounts for it, unless the 351m are the same, then I can buy them on ebay.
LMC have 302 to 460 mounts and these sound like the only ones that will work, but they look a bit flimsy for the hp I should have.

I am pretty sure the engine mounts for the Windsor/351C are the same.
Check in the 335 series engine forum though - I know the 351M/400M shares its bell housing with the 351C, but I am pretty sure the 351 has the same mounts as the small block.

Yep, Whinger and Clevo mounts are interchangeable.

Both sets of mounts are different between small/big-blocks though. Pacemaker does a mounting kit for 429/460 into XD-XF along with a set of pipes, but being different bays you'd have to make up mounts for the body mounts to adapt them hahaha, so it's a bit of a redundancy... I will ask a mate who changed from a clevo to a 460 in a '56 and see if he had to change body mounts or not. That should sort you out

Just spoke to him and he said he used a set of mounts (body and engine) from the mid-80's EFI 460 trucks, and adapted them to the body of his '56. That was only a stock LPG motor with a tunnel ram though, not a 557... so maybe the body mounts with the hardcore Bronco mounts above might get you home?

I think your bay should be the same as mine, and he reckoned it would be even easier to do my '74 than doing the swap in his was.
