Lightbulb Split Rims?

I'm getting word that I will be moving to North Carolina within a couple months and I can't take everything with me. I didnt want to post these split rims as for sale that I have but would much rather give them to someone (FREE) in the area that can use them, any Michigan members need 5 original 1970's (16's) split rims with the original Hercules tires?

Please don't ask for them if you don't need them! Let someone who is restoring a 70's era Ford truck get them. The rims are in great shape (no rust) and the tires look like new (been covered forever)

Thanks,
Frank

Only when airing them the first time after retreading them.. yeah.. good times.. Sitting there with your hammer, airing up slowly.. tapping, airing up slowly, run off to the bath room, final bead pops and you start counting limbs.. good times..

Ya I hear ya guys! I had some great times with these rims myself, as you can see from my photo albums I'd rather ride a little safer rim myself. Some folks still use them for show but I woundnt ride them on the highways. I hate to just trash them, the tires are like new but tube tires. (16.5, 8 lugs rims). So who knows maybe one of them die hards out here may want to fight with some old school stuff.

I know I'm a little late responding to this thread, but...I'm actually looking for a set of split rims for a '71 F-250 Camper Special I'm restoring. Been looking for a set forever; if you still have these wheels, I'll gladly take them off your hands (and I'll actually use them, too!) Thanks. (I'm in northern Oakland County, btw.)
