Sinister Coolant Filter Install HELP!!!

I am currently flushing my coolant system with VC-9, and I just installed my fumoto valves in the block drains. I would also like to install the coolant filter set up that came in earler this week. While looking at the set up with my system running I am unsure which side of the heater control valve to install the bypass hose on. The instructions make no mention of it, and the help line is only up monday-friday. I would realy like to install it today. If anybody out there has ran into this before I could use the advice!

I cut my hose just a bit on the firewall side of the valve and it works fine. From what I've seen everyone else did too.

The top one. Just a couple of inches behind the bend after the heater control valve.

Rusty,
Just to clarify, when you say behind, you mean closer to the firewall?

-Fun fact with the windows down and the heater running I can get 165 degree air out of the vents! Of course it is 95 here

If you install the filter first and lay the hose back there it might be more obvious how the T fitting will fit.

If you put it on fire wall side when heater valve is off will you have water flow though filter. My C filter is on rad side of heater valve and has flow all the time.

Ya know, if you think about it, if you DIDN'T cut the line on the rad side, there would be NO flow, but if you DO cut it and run it thru the filer, there WILL be flow.... so I guess it dunt matter......

I wish I still had my instructions I put in in like this:

I read the instructions a couple of times and thought I was clear on it but the more I think about it,,, If the valve stops coolant flow FROM the engine then what I have done is flowing coolant throught the heater core all the time?! If the valve stops coolant flow TO the engine from the heater core then...I am still flowing coolant through it all the time.

Hmm......A/C is still cooling very well even with the temps we've been having and lines to filter get hot.

I'm thinkin I smooched the pooch on this one?

I did read the "destructions" before I started. And an ice cold beverage.
