Wow, that red 48-50 cabover is pretty fancy....chrome grille, chrome strip down the center of the hood, and chrome vent window frames.....
Ya that does look pretty nice, I think all of the 48-50 COE's had the center hood stainless strip? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure about the grill and wingvents though.
Did any of the 48-50 trucks come factory with stainless grill bars or were they add ons? Did the merc trucks come factory with shiny grill bars?
Wow, nice big trucks... keep them coming... I wouldn't call all of them odd ball. It looks like we are blending the Working Trucks thread into the Oddball Trucks thread into one!

But keep them coming!
I don't think we're quite blending them together. I would consider working trucks ones that are still earning their keep by being used today. The odd, or unique trucks are ones you wouldn't really see being used every day, today. It really doesn't matter, cool old trucks are great to look at no matter how you label them.
I saw this at Rhinebeck several years ago. Kind of a sad story behind it. A fella started it and passed away. The widow paid to have it completed and took it to shows up and down the East coast. I guess we had better get to our projects while it is still daylight!
There's an odd duck I've never seen before. I wonder if someone cut the rear off a railway express and grafted it up close to make a cab, and added the flatbed. Pretty odd to say the least. Thanks, Wayne!
