Horn, Cruise, Trans Temp Guage

Gents, Did my studs a few months ago. Thats important cause I did it myself and I do not think I did but its possible I missed a wire or vacuum hose when putting together.

Now horn doesn't work...had a blown fuse..changed fuse...worked at a low tone for about 2 seconds then crapped the bed...fuse not blown. Thinking short/ground I'm not an electrician. Any thoughts where to start looking?

Cruise doesn't work but all other steering wheel controls work, fuse is fine.

ISSPRO Trans temp guage started acting up normal temp is about 165 after about 10-15 min of driving. Guage will now go to 180 after about 2 or 3 min, then peg at max then drop back to 190 and then go to 130 and sometimes it just works normal..Sending unit??, sensor???

Any ideas of where to start looking for any of these problems. Thanks

I would have to say the sending unit on the trans gauge. I had a company plow truck that it did the same thing......ended up being the sending unit.

Trans temp guage issues was the connection of the sensor was corroded a bit scraped it a little with a screwdriver and put some dielectric grease on it. The temp reading appeared to be more stable than before.

Bringing this one back to life.....finally got the horn and cruise fixed....the wires on the clockspring were getting pinched, cut, and grounded to the steering wheel. There is a ring on the back of the airbag that cut into the wires about an inch from the clockspring connector put some tape on it no more ground and horn and cruise back running...yes I am a procrastinator.
