2011 Tailgate lock question - tied to keyless from factory?
I did a search and I think the answer is I'll need to install a dynolock to get what I want, but I just wanted to ask if the 2011 F-150 tailgate locks are tied to the keyless entry. I don't recall it unlocking with the keyless entry when I checked out the truck at the dealer. My new truck is on order so I figure I'd start getting the mod list ready now (its never to early, is it?) Thanks in advance!
Thanks guys! Put a dynolock in my last truck and thought it was well worth it. Think I'll do it again.
? do you have any write up on that, or a link you could point me to. as i was looking at doing this to my 2010 and just started searching when i found this thread. i think ford should do a keyless gate i mean hay theres no key on my passenger door why not the gate to!

If you take pics of the electric lock, I'd appreciate it. I havent seen a writeup for one. I was really hoping that I could find one that toggle the key lock (so the key and actuator would be turning the same guts) but in what I found so far, he electric one doesnt work that way.
I saw a few postings on other forums about the lock install - some with pics.
I just ordered PopNLock's actuator kit (PL8250) which after calling their customer service, they said will fit on my 2011 with the camera. Guess I'll take plenty of pics when I install it. The price looks to be normally $105 and I got it for 78+tax+free shipping from amazon. Theres plently of guys who made their own with a $5 actuator and some supplies from home depot...but I'd rather spend the extra on a kit then leave it up to me to poke holes in my new truck.
