The latest flash version 6.0L

I am taking the truck in for a bunch of service etc before warranty is up next month and I was just wondering what everyones experience has been with the latest flash version? I am still running a version from 2007 and really haven't had any issues. I am debating whether I should be getting it updated or not? I understand there is no going back once its been done. Any input is appreciated.

There were a few complaints of a slight loss of mpg's from some. That is all I have heard.

I was worried that it would drop my mpg, but I got the newest flash in February when I replaced my FICM and I saw absolutely no change in mileage. I hand check my mileage with every tank too.

Question

03 six liter with 80k and never been flashed. What improvements would I see if I got my baby flashed? Mileage, better starting, run stronger? If it's not broke why mess with it ?

I wouldn't mess with it. You *might* get better cold starting and also less power, mpg etc.

I asked my dealer to do it (truck is under warranty) and they wanted to charge me. I am trying a new dealership to see if they will do anything. I was wondering the same thing, which was my reason for starting this thread, if I am not having problems should I do it or not? I heard that it does something with injectors that improves cold start, and with the winters we can sonetimes have it may be worth it for that.

Tell them it has bad cold starts and you're wanting to get it fixed before the cold weather comes back.

Mine was updated when my FICM went bad at 130K and it created cold start issues. In fact, it is going to private shop on Monday to have some diagnosis to see what the problem. It feels like its is injector related, but the dealer says he can't isolate the problem. What a joke!
