the truck wouldn't happen to have a tach in it, would it? basically any rpm's above 2300ish and fuel will magically disappear..... my 85 would drop down to gallons per mile from 60 on up. chances are you do have a leak though. maybe do a search in the 80's section, i believe there are some issues with the multi tank setup, but can't recall what the issue were.

i do have a tach but it doesnt work right now...working 80hrs a week is killing my tinkering time!!! so i havent been able to get under the hood or under the truck to look at it yet..
if it is leaking it has to be under the hood somewhere because i dont see any drip spots on the ground at all....i hope i have some time this weekend to poke around a bit..

i ran one that size on my big block for a while, i doubt it's an issue, but i would go about doing a full on tune up, i always do whenever i get a new vehicle. new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air fuel and oil filters and fluid changes, check the belts and replace if needed, and make sure the fan clutch is working properly if it still has one. also if money permits, a fresh new coil is always a good idea as i've had a few mystery issues from them giving up the ghost. i'm no carb wizard, but at the very least run a can or two of that seafoam fuel and oil treatment through it., my dad swears by that stuff.

dan i always follow that rule too lol...im planning on grabbing all that stuff and doing in on saturday or sunday since i will have a nice big shop to work in...i cant even pull the truck in my garage lol.
now i have never changed tranny fluid or diff fluid..i have always had that done in the past by the pros...but i want to do it myself..

Dropping the pan is such a PITA, half the time I just take it to the shop and have them do it.
(open header bronco idling in jiffy lube while they do a trans flush brings teh major lollllllllers)
Diff fluid, either take the cover off if it's leaking and reseal it when you put it back on, if not leaking use one of those cheapo suction pumps and suck all the old fluid out. Use the bottles with the tip on 'em to squire back in.

chances are it is a 4'' lift, but without knowing how old the springs are or if they were even the right ones for a super cab it might be sagging a bit and be a little shorter. with a 4'' you can fit 35's but it will get tight without trimming the fenders, but 33's generally look about perfect for that much lift and they have room to move.

maybe in the axles, but i wouldn't switch to a synthetic fluid in a motor or auto trans unless it was rebuilt and then i'd break it in on conventional oil and swap to synthetic after the break in period. i put synthetic oil in my efi 460 at 64,00miles. by 65 it was seeping from the valve cover and oil pan gaskets. synthetic cleans out gunk that may actually be keeping stuff sealed in
