Daughter bought a truck-Look's like I am going to Texas

My daughter and son in law just made a killer deal on a used 2011 F250 Lariat CC SB FX4 6.7 pickup. They both are working and have no vacation...but Dad does. Looks like I am the designated delivery driver...flying into Houston and driving it 1400 miles home...probably next week...should be fun

Regards

Thats not fair. I had to "disapear" for a day and a half to make my trip work. I still made it in to work at 8am monday morning too. Well, physically anyway.

Sounds like fun though. Enjoy it Is the dealer in Houston or a surrounding city? I'd be curious how the deal went down. A friend of mine was looking way out of state for a 2007 or so truck but was pretty concerned about working a deal on a used truck so far away. Knowing you I'm sure your son in-law and daughter did their homework on it... or wait, you had a hand in that too?

...looking at a map of Texas, the dealer is about 85 miles NW of Houston...any of my Texas friends want to pick me up at the airport??? looks like Houston Hobby will be my arrival choice...

Too bad you're not flying into Austin! Actually, Intercontinental is closer to Navasota than Hobby - it's on the north side of town while Hobby is down south.

I got pulled over many times in Navasota driving back and forth from Clear Lake to College Station while I was at A&M - I swear they had a picture of my truck on their top ten offenders list...

Did she say she was supplying the "gas" money....

Looks like it could be "out of pocket" trip.

No "gas" money it is a 6.7. A little "fuel" money would be nice... Sorry a little diesel humor.....

I can fly into Austin if it is a better way to go. Either destination is $250 on Southwest. I looked at the map and Houston looks closer. Advice???

Intercontinental is closer, but you'll still have to figure out how to get to Navasota.

2Horses - when were you at A&M? I'm class of 2003....
