I would think that if the ECT was going bad, I would notice something while monitoring it with my AE. I have never seen any fluntuations while I was monitoring. My truck has the newest flash as of March 2010.
I sure wish my truck ran at the lower temps that others report and I am willing to do what ever it takes.Hopefully someone has some ideals.

Guys, I don't want to come across as a smart ***, but I do want to put this thought out there. Are you guys that are getting hot cleaning your radiators from the outside. I know I have seen several people talk about flushing them, but one of the first things you learn on the farm is that when the water temp starts up, blow out the radiator. I use a 3' long chunk of 1/4 pipe with 5 1/8 holes drilled in the side of it and the end welded shut. If you have never blown out your radiator you will be shocked how much dirt you will get out of it and how much cooler your equipment will run. This is also not a fast process even with a big air compressor this can take an hour or so to do right. Again, if you are already doing this, sorry but I thought someone might be able to use the info.

^^^ Thank's. That was brought up on another thread also. Another example how it's good to check the easy/obvious stuff first and we missed it this time.
Gonna clean mine up Sat and see what happens.
