Ignition/Door Lock 69 F-100

My ignition key doesn't unlock my doors, and I don't have a key for the doors. I'd like to get a "keyed alike" tumbler/lock set, but I've checked a couple of websites and seen prices of $69. Which seems totally crazy to me, I just got a matched set for my 66 Mustang for $27.

Does anyone know if these are just standard "Ford" parts, in other words, can I go buy a tumbler/lock set for a 69 Mustang for half the price and have it work fine in my F-100? They look pretty much the same (just viewing a picture on a website, not actually able to hold them side by side and see up close).

Cracker, I'd go to a local locksmith and have them re-pin your door cylinders to your ign key.

You can call ahead and find out what it will cost if that is a concern.

The lock set should work between the Stang & truck. ND Bill will know better.

EDIT: What John said is spot on...any locksmith can 'key alike' the ignition/door lock cylinders, by replacing the tumblers.

If the part number for a keyed alike lock set for a truck was the same as a Mustang (and etc) the part numbers would be the same.

They aren't the same, because the ignition cylinder w/keys (C7TZ-11582-A) is truck only (1967/69 Mustang: C9AZ-11582-A).

C7TZ-8122050-A .. Door/Ignition Keyed Alike Lock Set / Obsolete

Last MSRP: $67.79 // Dealer net cost: $40.67 / Applications: 1967/72 F100/750.

Note: Carpenter lists this same lock set for $60.00 on page 91 of his 2011 1967/79 truck repro parts catalog (paper version).

Give these sources a call, maybe you can buy one of these genuine Ford lock sets for less than the original MSRP.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has ONE = 607-722-5371.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has ONE = 800-543-4959.

ANTIQUE AUTO SUPPLY in Arlington TX has ONE = 817-275-2381.

Thanks guys. I have a couple of extra 66 Mustang tumblers, I'm gonna take the 69 tumbler out and see how similar it is.

I'd rather not have locks than have to pay a locksmith to re-pin the original door locks, hehehe.

Door lock cylinders:

C5OZ-6221984-A = 1965/66 Mustang = single cut key.

D2AZ-6521984-A = 1967/72 Mustang = double cut key.

C7TZ-8121984-A = 1967/72 F100/750 = double cut key.
