Leveling Kit for 2001 F-150
Hey guys, this is my first post. I just got this truck for my birthday. 2001 F-150 5.4L 4x4 off road super cab. I have been trying to do some research on a leveling kit for my truck. Can anyone give me advice on the best kit, or do I even need one i was told by a friend if you have torsion bars i could tighten them and then get my front end aligned. Thanks in advance.
also i forgot to mention, that i would also like to add a 3" body lift later on i dont know if this would matter for the leveling kit or not.

YEs you have torsion bars. This takes the place of a spring on the font end. This is a rod about 1 inch diameter that you twist to get spring motion, not coil spring.. THe front end of the rod is connected to the a-frame. The back end is anchored in a bracket under the drivers and passenger seat. The back end has a hex end on it. There is a cam with a socket end that fits over the hex. There is a jackscrew that pushes on the cam for the adjustment. Crawl under the truck and look at the jack screw and lock nut at the end of the torskon bar. Loosen the lock nut and jack the jackscrew in 2-3 turns and that side of the truck will go up 1/2- 1 inch. You can use these to raise the truck or set level. You may need anign later as you have changed the caster/ camber.
