What horns are you using

What horns have you all used? I went to my parts stash, and found a set, High Low horns, from a 80's Silverado to put on my '49. Nice and free, now just need to decide where and how to mount them, they have the stock brackets on them. where and how did you mount yours? what kind of horn button are you using? I will be using a column mount horn button until I switch out the column.

Years ago when I built my '50, I snagged a pair of horns from a 67 Fairlane and mounted them in the cavity between the grille and radiator. They worked great. Point the trumpets downward so they don't fill up with water or bugs and debris.

Part of what I scavenged from my old Eldo was the Hi/Low horns. I mounted them and an Oogah horn in the front well, pointing down like 52 Merc said.

I keep buying cheap ones from the swapmeet (under $2 each), I have a few low and 1 high (12v and 6v). I made some brackets for my truck and cleaned up 2 horns (put some on my '47 car also).

I'm planning on using the original from the 56 as it seems to be louder than any of the newer ones I've heard and there is a screw on them that allows you to tune them.

Both of my vehicles had new horns (I assume because of the 12v conversion) and they just sound WRONG. I always stay with older horns they just sound better, the '54 panel has 6v ones until I find 12v ones.
