96 ECU

Has anyone on here messed around with an ECU re-programer? I'm not talking about a plug in to the DLC and play such as super chips or edge. I mean like the Quarterhorse from Moates. I"m looking to reflash my ECU with a performance tune that I can build and control as many aspects as possible via a laptop. My truck is a 1996 F-150 with a heavily modified 302. Thanks
