GN setup and Spray on Bedliner
Hi,
I have a 05 F350 PSD CC ShortBox and thinking of finally moving from a BP horse trailer to a bigger GN that will eventually last us 10-15 years.
The trailer will most likely be 7'6" W&T and about 22-25ft on the floor (roughly 6,000-6,500lbs empty) and an additional 3,000-6,000lbs depending on the amount of horses (2-4) and additional equip. So 9,000 to 12,000lbs range.
What would be the best GN setup (pop-up/ hide away preferred)? We would trailer obviously on paved roads, but also on service roads around parks/pastures).
Also, as we go to GN we will take out the plastic bedliner ( i assume you can't use it with a GN, i'm i correct?) and replace it with a spray-on liner? any recommendations? The bed won't really be used to haul heavy stuff (rocks, heavy metallic parts), moslty hay, firewood, camping stuff and dogs.
thanks

Check out B&W, They have a turn-over ball that takes up very little space and you can also use it to tow a 5th-wheel if you ever got one down the road. I would think any bedliner option would be up to you for what would work best.

I second the B&W - that's what every farmer/horse person around here uses. I'm getting one installed next week actually. Personally, I prefer it over the Reese since it's quicker and there's no rails to mess with. It might be more expensive though, I've never priced the reese system.
I've never seen a horse trailer w/ a 5th wheel king pin...but if they find one, that's what they'd need. Though as mentioned above, B&W does make an adapter to pull a 5th wheel as well - but it's not cheap.
