06 250 6.0 fuel sending issue

I put this on the suoerfuty thread but thought it fit better here.
I have been having some issues with the monster and wanted to know if anyone else has. About a year and a half ago (Christmas 2009) my check engine light came on and my fuel gauge went to empty. Dash read something like DATA ERROR. It reset itself but finally gave out. Dec 31, 2009 i put a new fuel sending unit in. That was just over 1000 bucks and not under warranty. Truck was at 63,000. Dealer said it was rusted up. Blamed me for not driving it enough, bad fuel, and letting it sit empty. 3000 miles later and 2 months it went out again. Rusted up. Couldnt blame me for not driving it and its a small town...we buy fuel from the same place. They said I was my fault for refueling while it was still running. They covered it under warranty (1 yr or 12000 miles). Apr it went out again, had 6400 miles this time. Rusted up. they covered under warranty. Aug again they say there was a mid year change and had been putting the wrong sending unit in. Covered under warranty (11580 miles later). Notified Ford customer service of the issues. Now its Jul and its out again and the warranty is up. Has anyone had these issues with the fuel sending unit? I am fed up. I have 90000 miles on the truck and have dealing with this for the last 25000.
