I finally found a Super Camper Special! How much should I pay?
I've had my eye on it for a while and finally got to talk to the owner. He says he is ready to sell but doesn't know what he wants for it. It's been sitting for a while, and some kids sprayed graffiti on it but I'm pretty sure it will come off and the paint will shine up. The body is in excellent shape. So, what should I pay?

looks like a solid truck, what to pay? depends on alot ,does it run and drive? how badly do you want it and how badly he wants to sell. a lot of people out there think since they are so scarce that makes them "rare" and extremely valuable. truth is they are just another old Ford and can cost just as much as the others to fix. they are unique and if you lovem (i love mine)then i'd go for it, make a reasonable offere and good luck(800 to 1500 if she runs)

The body on this truck is super nice. It was used daily to carry equipment around the practice field for the local high school football team for years. Apparently, it ran out of gas one day, battery went dead, and its been sitting behind the field house for the last few years. I'm pretty confident it will run with very little work.

The frame or bed looks cattywampus... or are my eyes deceiving me?
Oooooh. it has AC... that's a plus! Play it like you can take it or leave it but pay a fair price. Make it as if you're doing the seller a favor.....No more than $1500.
I'm not gonna ask about the cooking mitt on the seat.....

Looks Good
Hopefully you'll get it for a decent price. It looks pretty straight and the paint will probably clean up with a good quality polishing compound followed with a wax.....if your feeling energetic. Im a crossing my fingers for ya on getting it running. I see it has a Mallory distributor, thats a plus. I agree with the other posts about what you should pay. 800-1500 sounds about right. All depends on how it runs. As a "for instance".....I paid $500 for mine, but the P.O said it had spun the oil pump shaft....but in reality it was just the oil pressure switch and the horrible plumbing job for the mechanical gauge that was installed causing the idiot light to stay on.
