Stepside search

Hmmmm, is there a way to search Craigslist abd do a "statewide" search rather than a area search?
Looking for an '86 Stepside 4x4.
taks lots of time to do local searches.
Thanks

It might do better to search for Flareside as well when doing your "stepside" search.

For most people they mean the same thing, however you might be skipping over a few trucks in a search etc...

Why does Ford call their "Stepsides", Flaresides?

Stepside is a trademark of General Motors.

Flareside is a trademark of FoMoCo.

Then of course you have fleetside (GM) and Styleside (FoMoCo) for the others too.

You can also use "searchtempest". It will let you search a radius that you wish to travel. I generally do a 400 mile search to get an idea of pricing of particular items.

A friend has an F100 4x2 Stepside either going to scrap or be sold cheaply. No engine or tranny, but he has a 302 w/a C4 that he'll sell cheaply as well. Not a 4x4, but...... And, it is a long ways from OK to CT.

Where in CT are you? Don's Autobody in East Granby, CT has had one sitting outside for a 2 years or so now. Its a 2wd and a bit of a mess, but its a start. That said, I strongly recommend a southern or western truck to find one from outside the salt belt.

Thanks 80 Flare!
Looking for a 4x4, and your right, a Southern / Western would probably be better.
To "calm" the wife, I told her something with AC and Power windows in a 4x4 will be hard to find, (that is true) before I buy.

Reamer, try http://www,crazedlist.org

I am in Ct as well, nearly all stepsides I've come across up here, the beds are in terrible shape. Mine recently partly collapsed during an off roading adventure, those wood bottoms like to hold moisture, rot away, and induce rust into the metal!
