91 f-350 7.3,5spd 2wd cab swap

Hello,
Ive read about what different year cabs interchange.
I am wondering about wiring issues a guy would encounter.
Say I found a half ton 4wd gas cab for intsance.
Could I just ad the diesel parts into the dash and leave the rest?

My cab is rusted out pretty bad,and I am contemplating cutting out the floor and replacing,or just a cab swap.

Any reply is appreciated.

cabs are the same, firewall might have some differences, some of the guys that actually have to deal with rust would know more about the swap from a gasser but the wiring isnt a problem. swap your gauges over, your whole wiring harness will come out easily enough. it unbolts from under the dash. it will take a little bit of work, movin stuff to get to stuff but a few hours and it can be done. if you stick with the same 87-91 body then you can just unbolt the whole dash and take it along to the next.

When we swaped cabs on my 85 to a 86 gasser cab, we had to swap all the wiring harness from the fuse panel to the head lights. Used the instrament cluster from the diesel. It was all plug and play.

I'm wondering the same thing. My cab is getting really bad. The running board on the drivers side is about to fall off (I keep telling myself DON"T use the step....).

I figure even if its not the same year range, I could swap out the dashes without too much work.
