Question, Are Both Heater and AC Fan Suppose to Run when AC is On

Just finished hooking up the dealer AC in my 1980 F100.

When just the heater is on, the heater fan blows.

When I flip the AC on, it activates all the relays and enables both fans to run (the interior ac fan that blows the evaporator AND the heater core fan).

Is this correct?

NO.

Wire in a relay that eliminates the power or ground to the heater fan when the AC is on.
