Clutch Bleed nightmare

I replaced my clutch master cylinder, due to a broke clutch rod.

I did not pull the slave cylinder, so I did not bench bleed it.

After I installed the new master, I have no pedal pressure at all, it goes straight to the floor, and stays there. I bled it for a good 3 hours last night and got a pretty steady stream after tipping the MC forward and re installing then bleeding, but still no pressure.

I let it gravity bleed over night, But I still dont think I will still have pressure, what could this be?

Never replaced one on a Ford. I did a slave on a Nissan before. After we put it on there I had to pump it up for about 45 min. It took so long my left leg gave out and had to start pumping it with my right.

Try pumping the slave by hand to force any air back up into the reservoir.

What ever caused the clutch rod to break may have damaged the slave cyl. also. I would park on an incline and pump, walk away, pump, etc. if this doesn't help, you need a slave cyl.

Well, I got some pressure, but stil wont engage in gear.

When I press the clutch, all I get is a loud howling noise, It stops when I let the clutch out.

I guess its going to the shop when I get the money saved up. Have them do a clutch and TO bearing and slave.

Go with a single mass fly wheel set up. I would not change anything till you're sure it needs it.
