Do you guys think I'll be OK to top off the trany and take it easy going home?
I will not be pulling anything.

I've got my tools with me and could do the flush here but I would like to do a new filter
and JW valve body and up grade my accumulator too.

If your fluid smells burnt I would replace it before you head home... But you gotta do what you gotta do to get home...

 

Made it home late last night with no problems or leaks.....can't believe it!
I did the flush per the posted info here.
It took a lot longer than I thought it would but was glad I did it.

Now I'm in the market for a 6.0 cooler!

Good for you... I hate that waiting for the next shoe to drop feeling. Must have been a real seat wrinkle ride home. I found a great deal on a brand new 6.0 cooler that some other guy bought but did not use on craigslist. There is also a vender on this forum that sell them. You can do a forum search and get all kinds of information on the 6.0 cooler.... There is some good discussion on to buy new or used. If you buy used you can flush it before you put it in.... Get that Trans temp gauge as well you won't be sorry.
