Vintage truck wheels has a 16x6 inch rim with an 8 bolt lug pattern * with 6.5 dia .. Wil it fit my f3 late 1951 with the 12 " brakes front and back?

Any Ford 16" having the 8 x 6.5" pattern will fit your 12" drums. The wheels in that link, though, are kinda pricey, don't you think? Any junk yard will have steel wheels, or you can put a want ad in the classifieds here for the OEM F-2 wheels that will accept the stock hub caps. Stu

 

Thanks Stu. I thought the F2' 16 would work. I don't know about pricey. I am new at this and just exploring options. What about a budd 16.5 x 6.75 rim ? Would it be too wide?

 

Would probably work. Will be a shorter tire diameter than a 16" because the 16.5' has a lower profile. Tires might look small with the big wheel openings. Stu

 

Occasionally someone hear swaps the axles out from under an F-2 and change the wheel bolt pattern. Post a request for F-2 wheels, someone may be able to help you. The later wheels bolt on, but the outside hub cap lugs just look wrong to me. Reproduction hub caps are now available too, if you want to use them.
