I got the fun lights hooked up and built this air chamber for my air compressor . It will trap water and let the air cool off. Think it will work ??

The tank might work. I heard that an AC condensor mounted on the side of the belt guard so that the air is pushed through it from the compressor to the tank and cooled by air being moved by the cooling fans of the compressor and motor work very well too. Drying air is a complicated thing.

Is the tank going to have a dessicant in it to dry the air or are you just going to mount it so the drain end is low?

The air will go in the chamber then will pass through a filter that i got from the paint store. Yes the drain end is the low point. Also there is a small filter [that came from lowes] before it hits the chamber.

It should work provided it's not very close to the compressor. Is that an old dive tank or fire extinguisher?

Its a 3'' stainless steel pipe that i took and orange peeled on one end then blanked off the other end and put some 1/2 nipples in. I was a pipefitter/welder for 27 years. This is the first thing i have tig welded since i got hurt. Just settled with workman comp so i can do this kind of thing without worrying if someone is taking my pic. LOL

Looks good-so it's an air chamber prior to the air hitting your compressors filter? Can you show it hooked up. Maybe I need to do something like that for my compressor??? I'm glad you posted the last picture, I was starting to think I had one too many.

YA TOM I was playing with the lens. I like to try new things when i take pics. I could do wild things with my 35 mm but this digital camera is hard to figure out. I'll post some pics. of the system when i get it together.
