Changing Rear Diff Fluid 2004 F250

Not difficult at all!
Remove the fill plug first. Loosen all bolts, place pan under the diff. Remove all bolts but the top one, crack the cover and let the fluid drain. When it's done, clean cover, mating surface and bottom inside of diff. Permatex the cover & mating surface, wait 10 minutes, put cover back on and snug bolts up. Refill with fluid of choice but make sure that if you have an LS diff you get either the friction modifier to add to your fluid, or get a fluid that already has it in there.
It's a quick easy job, although I usually wait a few hours for the Permatex to cure before I put the fluid back in.
