Oh My Darling Clementine, those are the breaks of the game. Pun intended. You BROKE a $42,000 truck to traverse that? My God, what are they teaching you at that prep school? Compared to some of the roads where I'm at, that's a danged Interstate highway. And I drive those in a Gran Torino. A car. Not a truck. No lift kit. No Rancho upgrades to the steering or suspension. No knobby tires on polished carbon gray wheels with contrasting color bead lockers and lug nuts. Hell, I don't even put HUBCAPS on it half the time.

Would you wake up? Oh no, you wet the bed again!!!

Are you okay?

Question... Is the frame design the same for the Raptor and the regular F150's. Just curious if this is something I'm going to have to keep a look out for on my F150. Not overly concerned about it, I highly doubt that I'd be driving/abusing my truck like those guys did in the video's.

See some of the prior posts. Yes, the frame is the same.

Do you expect to repeatedly bottom-out your rear suspension while carrying a load? If not, the frame is the least of your worries.

There is nothing weak about these frames or the Raptors in general. An Abrams tank can be destroyed if used improperly.

If a fella mounts a snow plow to a conventional F-150 and tears up his rig, is Ford liable? Hell no.

If a fella tows over 12K with a max tow F-150 and destroys the truck, is Ford liable?

I'm not sure if the owner's manual that comes with a Raptor describes what abusive use would be but these fellas damned sure figured it out.

I'm not convinced that Ford properly or completely described what proper off road use would consist of for the Raptor's, but as said many times already, these are not home made trophy trucks. These are 6000 lb trucks built for heavier than normal off road use, grocery getting and daily driving.

Common sense must prevail.

BTW, any other non-Ford truck enthusiast that's laughing at this one can kiss my back sides.

The raptor's frame is the same as a regular F-150 they could have made it beffer, the First gen Lightning frame was thicker and had welded steal plates around the frame than the regular F-1's ! WTF ford !!!

The Raptor has far more suspension travel than a conventional F150 to absorb more shock. However, I'm sure it's not perfect.

I think if you take any truck 50 feet into the air at high speeds something is gonna happen, Un less its a True Baja truck not a ford SVT truck, But a true frame, fiberglass body baja truck.

Ford should do something to the frame to there 2012 Raptor's, As for the owners before you go crazy jumping your truck READ THE OWNERS MANUAL'S !!!

You bent the frame on your Raptor, and so did the other lemmings behind you.

Sorry your fault!

Done many motorized stupid things too that resulted in damage myself.

But.... that is one hell of a truck that holds together to the point the frame bends. I wonder what would have broke if the frame did not give?

Well looking at this and everything I have to agree you take the risk of damage just like a race truck does. Equipment gets damaged like it or not when you are hammering down in tough terrain! This is a factory truck not a million dollar race truck. Yes it can do some amazing stuff but it has its limits too. Sucks! Ford does kind of over due the sales demo of this truck but I think they do say something about being smart about what you are doing.........
