4.6l romeo performance upgrades

I have a 98 F150 4x4 with the 4.6l romeo "Im pretty sure thats what it is the 8th vin number is a W" I am looking into performance parts for it. I heard you could take Ford Racing "PI" parts and put them on i.e. heads, intake manifolds, throttle body etc.... wondering if that is true?? also what other modifications i can for more power from my motor??

Thanks, Dan

You can put PI heads on it. Ford racing makes a kit with heads and bolts, etc. You will need a truck PI intake to keep your stuff intact. Just be known that it will raise your compression to 10.0:1 so you may need premium fuel. The exhaust manifolds are the same. Your stock throttlebody is plenty large enough.
