I have a 2.8 Ford V6 in my MG, The motor blew a head gasket, and now has a knocking noise, I need a new motor. I can not find a Number for the casting so I can know the year this one is so I can find the correct replacement year motor so that everything I have now will fit on the new motor. I have been told there are a couple different Ford 2.8 V6 out there. Thanks

Any 2.8 from 74-85 will do.........including Mustangs, Pintos, Merc Capri, and of course Rangers and Bronco IIs

Later 2.9s are not usable for your purposes.

 

Jimmy, so you think my headers, manifold and sheet metal will mount up correctly without any problems? 2.8 Ford any year. Thanks
