Ok I was bored and decided to take apart one of my spare sets of my HD spicer style DANA 44 hubs. Upon taking them apart I decided to replace all 6 of the Hub lok retainer screws and all 6 of the dished washers. I also would like a few spare's of the pressure springs. I know the obvious and most commons places to find spare parts for these hubs are Dennis Carpenter, LMC, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. Those places have the red plastic actuating *****, but I would like someone like NumberDummy to chime in where to find any and of the rest of the internal components for these large hubs. Also I was told these larger hubs were put on the 3/4 4x4 Fords from 69 to early 77, IS this correct???? I know Chevys and Gmc's ran them for awhile to, but have no clue to the years. I know there has to be some of this stuff still out there for a somewhat reasonable prices. Recently a NOS set of the blue dialed spicer HD'S hubs sold on EVILBAY for $1,100.00. Are these hubs really getting and are worth the high money there getting. For you all who think I am crazy about those $1,100.00 NOS hubs the item number was 180669540703 The pics are now gone but the info is still there to be seen once you enter the item number.

 

Those parts are becoming increasingly difficult to find, this guy stocks some but most are sold out... QUAD 4 x4

 

Thanks Montana, I actually have Quad 4x4 book marked, and totally forgot about it. There has to still be someone out there who frequents FTE that knows where more of these parts are at. My guess is NumberDummy has some good leads!!!!!

 

Hey 76HB where did you get your dished washers from? i need two sets (12 total) if you know of a source, thanks.

 

montana_Highboy, I special ordered all my new hub lok retainer screaws and the dished washers from Fastenal. Your looking at $3.00 for each retainer screw and .50 for each washer plus shipping. about $25.00 to replace for one set of hubs.
