About how much does a trans weight?
I am curious about this because one day I may be putting a new trans in my EX and I wondered if the old one is too heavy to bring home in the back of my EX? I was thinking about putting it in my old 98' 250 that has a horribly bad trans in it.

According to Mark Kovalsky the tranny is 270 lbs. The converter must be about 50 lbs.

Oh that is so possible! I once saw an Excursion with a fully built 7.3 in the back and it was towing a toy hauler. Anyone want to take a stab at who that was?
