Both are obsolete, but are available NOS

Belt weatherstrips aka anti-rattlers are called "cat whiskers" by auto glass shops.
Check with local auto glass shops, they sell the cat whiskers and the clips by themselves. Cat whiskers come in a 5' or so length and are "cut to fit."

Hi All. Just bought a 1976 C800 Altec bucket truck. The vin sticker on the door pillar is 90% gone. I need a VIN number to get a title. Where would I find the VIN stamped on the frame? I looked on the top of both frame rails. The ultility body covers the frame rails behind the front spring rear shackles. Any thoughts? There are numbers stamped on the side of the right frame rail

I don't know where the hidden frame VIN is stamped, but the VIN can be found on the following:
Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch. May have been painted over.
Safety Standard Certification Label glued to the B Pillar below the striker plate.
Composed of a clear outer layer and inner layer with printed info, when it got wet, the outer layer could peel off, taking some/all of the inner layer along with it.
Only the VIN, production date and misc. GVWR's are printed on this label.
Truck is registered by its specific VIN which is composed of 11 digits (thru 1980).
Replacement Certification Label & Warranty Plate with all the original codes stamped on it, is available from martiauto.com by passing along your VIN and some bucks.

N = 9,000 lbs. Capacity Ford Front Axle with P/S
C/CT700's with 9,000 lbs. capacity with hydraulic brakes only listed for 1980/83's.
Are you sure it's a 1986? Are you sure it's a C700? It might be a CF700 and if so...
Post the VIN to verify.

1FD = FoMoCo USA - Ford Truck - Incomplete Vehicle.
P = Class 7 Hydraulic Brakes - 26,001-33,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
D74 = 1981/86 C700 Diesel (non sleeper).
N = Detroit DD 990N or DD 990T 8.2L (501 cid) V8 Diesel.
7 = Check digit, FoMoCo use only.
6 = 2006 it's probably G = 1986.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
A14889 = 1986 Numerical Sequence of Assembly, the trucks specific serial number.
It's what you said it is: 1986 C700 with hydraulic brakes and a 9M front axle. Are you LDS?
See application chart below. The 1980/89 Heavy Truck Parts Catalog (10/93 edition) is probably wrong, so you need to find another source with better info.
Call Larry H. Miller Ford (SLC) for assistance, or Green Sales Co. (Cincinnati OH - 800-543-4959), or Job Lot Auto (joblotauto.com - Queens NY), who specializes in BIG Ford truck parts.
