OLD DECODES
#272
On my C750 if that is what is I found a plate hanging from the seat spring on the pass side.
VD2KB6064700AA
LSI - 2844
The V in the first seq is more of a upside down triangle.
The warranty plate in the pic is from a donor truck I am trying to buy. The junk yard guy didn't want to sell it to me at first but now after some ran into the cab with a loader things may have changed.

Looking for a little help. I'm in need of a drum brake backing plate for my 1979 Bronco. I contacted all of the wrecking yards around here and can't find one. Mine seems to be the more rare one with the 3/8'' T-bolts.
Part number I have is:
Bendix 3205809-L
Is there a ford part number associated with this? I cant find one on the plate.
Edit: Found the for part number D8TZ-2212-A which should be drivers side. Is that right?
I haven't been able to locate one.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 1 = 800-476-9653. This is the only one I could find.

* 1979: 1/2" or 3/8" backing plate bolts mainly have to do with the 9" axle shafts. You need to know which size to get the correct shafts.
But...Bronco's & E100/150's have specific right & left axle shafts, while F100/150 right & left axle shafts are the same.
There is more than one axle shaft for all these vehicles as some have 28 splines while others have 31 splines. 1974/79: There are also two different types of rear axle bearings and seals.
Note: This is the 2nd time you've asked a question in this LARGE TRUCK (500 and larger series trucks) forum. You should ask questions...
There is a forum for 1978/96 BIG Bronco, another for EB's (Early Bronco's - 1966/77) and another for 1984/90 Bronco II's.
I asked a customer once if he had a full sized Bronco or a Bronco II. He said "FULL SIZED, I don't have a training Bronco!"

1976 LN 700 wiring
Bill,
I have a 1976 LN 700, I am working on a wiring problem. I have the Ford books but no wiring diagrams. I am working on lights/turn signals/brakes. Do you in your arsenal of FORD manuals have any wiring schematics for my truck?
Thanks for any help you can provide..

E = 361 2V FT engine.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
Q74081 = 1973.
I have no idea what EFW refers to as I've never seen or heard of any such thing, and...
This abbreviation is not listed in the truck parts catalog.

Bill;
Yes they did and I have one coming to me. Thanks..
Next question; I pulled the steering wheel and found my main problem, when the steering wheel was installed (some time in her past) they pinched some wires and now have been ground through. Duh, not wireless back then so it don't work.
I need a turn signal assey, horn ring and the steering wheel horn button if they are available.
Again Bill, we always appreciate all your time you spend on us crazy mech and our old money pits.. lol
