How good is you auto info? The same guy has a 1955 Ford Courier ( Utility Wagon )

He has a book on order, but it isn't here yet. The lines don't match up so well, so here is a picture. Curious what the color is called. Previous owner has already primed it.

I have a 1972 C-76 (cabover) with a worn out transmission shift linkage. I have been unable to find the part and need to fabricate it so I am looking for a schematic. The only VIN # I have is C76EVN11653 altho its apparently not complete. I can provide pictures of the part if anyone can find me a drawing drawing?. Thanks

137771 = 1955 Numerical Sequence of Assembly.

78A = Sedan Delivery (Courier).

G = Sea Sprite Green.

AE = I have no '55 info for seat upholstery.

14C = Assembled March 14, 1955.

4506C = Production code, cannot be decoded.

1948/80 Ford truck VIN contains 11 digits.

C76 = C750 Tilt Cab.

E = 361 2V FT engine.

V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.

N11653 = 1972.

Trans, axle and etc. codes stamped on the Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch.

Pic is for 4 or 5 or 10 speed. If pic is correct, post the number from the part you need, I'll see if anyone has it NOS

btw: Where in Alaska are you located?

1969 f600 need parts

Trying to find information about this truck to replace starter and hydraulic pump on dump, maybe some brakes and things. What can you tell me from my VIN # F60DKD99856 Anything would be helpful. Thanks!

Looks like it could be 7A370? There's a ball and socket joint there and the ball is pulling out on mine. The chassis has no other info regarding the tranny, etc., the truck was bought as a tanker originally. I did find some numbers on the side of the tranny: C46-15-6-3 (I think.) The plates stamped on the side of the tranny are completely corroded. We are in the Bristol Bay area, so bush Alaska. Thanks for your help!

Hello Bill, The folks at Green sales were able to help me find one of the parts but mine is actually before Ser. M 60,001. I know from prior experience that some parts came from 1972 and some for '73 for this truck. He had part # 7A375 (the part with a socket) but did not have 7A370 (the part with the ball). He faxed me pages from the Ford Truck Parts diagram to help me find it. Do you know of other sources? or, are these parts interchangeable? If not, it looks like I may be back to fabricating the part I need. Is there a detailed schematic for these parts available?

Can't ID my rear axle Mexican Built Ford

I bought my wagon in 1997 in Mexico while I worked for a Canadian manufacturer there.

The Mexican Ford plant used DANA axles on these vehicles, not Ford axles. I have the factory shop manual for US and Canadian models, but they don't refer to the Mexican models.

I wondered if you could help me sort this out. My axle cover does have a DANA type fill plug, and the 3rd member is removable. I'd like to swap the 3.07:1 ring and pinion (US/CDN models are 3.08:1) to 3.27 pr 3.45:1 and add the Traction-Lock feature.

COTT-7A370-A (replaced B9TT-7A370-A) .. Arm-Transmission Shift Control Front Rod to Crank / Obsolete

1959/71 C500/1100 / 1972 C500/1100 before serial number M60,001.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

No habla Espanol, no entiende usted. I have no way to decode Mexican info. Which is the AXLE code?

Its a 1979 Fairmont Squire stationwagon.
Sorry, I wouldn't have the slightest idea what hecho en Mexico Fairmonts used for a rear axle.
