im trying to repair the hacked wiring on my 64 n600 and i cant find a fuse block of any kind ? does my truck have one ? i also believe my stock headlight switch has also been replaced , there are no fuses on it either ? any help is appreciated
#484
There aren't very many fuses lol. Should be right by the lightswitch in fact, just under the dash. At least it is on the 100 series. Headlight switches don't use fuses, rather a kind of integral thermal circuit breaker.

1966/78: E is the VIN engine code for the 361 FT engine.
Compare the VIN on the Warranty Plate to the VIN on the registration to see if they match.
People replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they failed to install the original Warranty Plates on the replaced doors.
There is no Spin-On Oil Filter adapter kit available for 330 2V H/D; 361 or 391 FT engines.
The above used C1TZ-6731-B ..Cartridge Oil Filter (Motorcraft FL-20).

Decode VIN and need fuel tank sending unit
Hi there. I recently purchased a 1967 N600 and have started to fix it up. VIN is N60DUA43764. Need at fuel tank sending unit to start. And was thinking about adding in another tank if I could find one.
Thanks for all your help in this forum. Greg

D = 330 2V Heavy Duty FT engine.
U = Louisville KY Assembly Plant.
A43764 = 1967, assembled November 1966.
The original fuel tank contained 18 gallons, was located inside the cab.
What's wrong with the sending unit, not reading correctly?
The fuel sending unit float is made from two pieces of copper soldered together. Solder breaks down, gas seeps in, float settles to the bottom of the tank.
The float is still available from Ford, but Carpenter sells a brass/plastic float for about 5 bucks.
The complete sending unit is obsolete, there are 5 still available NOS

Thanks for the information. This truck has a frame mounted tank to the rear of the drivers step. It does not look like it ever had a cab fuel tank. It seems like it holds about 16 gallons. Any idea where a sending unit for it might be available?
