The above codes were rearranged as to how they appear on the Warranty Plate.
F65 = F600 4WD (gas).
C = 330 2V Medium Duty FT engine.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
M80181 = 1972.
156" Wheelbase.
COLOR = Blank.*
F653 = F600 4WD (gas) .. 18,000 lbs. GVWR
4 8: 4 = Black Vinyl / 8 = 81A Standard Cab.
P = Warner T-19 4 Speed Synchronized Manual Transmission.
62 = Rockwell model F106 Single Speed Rear Axle / 6.20-1 / 15,000 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.
18,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
164 net HP @ 3,800 RPM
731284:
73 = Salt Lake City UT Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
1284 = Domestic Special Order number, truck special ordered by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."
*When there is no COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate, the truck was painted a non standard color per the original purchasers order, making it a Domestic Special Order.

Bill, I've looked thru several sites and haven't found what I'm looking for, it may be a little hard but I'm wondering if there is a nos bumper left for a 56 C 600, part # THAB 17750-A, I've got two used ones but they are not fit to crome, they could be straightned and painted but too messed up to crome,would you have any ideas.
Thanks Aaron

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
Where in CA are you located?
#458
Just south of Morro Bay on Hwy 1 about 3 miles.
Thanks,I'll see if Valley Crome can straighten it and then crome it.
I'm also looking for the stainless drip rail and my parts book doesn't show that number,this truck is a custom cab and that would finish it off nicely

1953/55 Conventional Cab & Panel Truck Custom Cabs:
BAAA-8151700-A .. Right Drip Rail Moulding / Obsolete
BAAA-8151701-A .. Left Drip Rail Moulding / Obsolete
BAAA-8151718-A .. Front Drip Rail Moulding / Obsolete
No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
Parts catalog does not differentiate between a COE and other trucks for these mouldings.

Thanks Bill, I was out of town all week and just got back.
I was hoping the drip rail might be around yet,I'll check a couple after mkt places and see if they have it,Sac Vintage Ford had it at one time but no longer, apparently their supplier quit making these.

Her name is Dumpy... 'cause she has a dump bed.
Thanks

Does that VIN match the title? That there tag has been reattached. The factory used rivets, not Phillips head screws. That could be a good sign though. Many times a new door is installed with the plate from the donor truck left in place. In this case, maybe the OEM plate was transferred to a new door.
