1992-1995 E4OD harness difference
Hello,
New here, my E40D went out in my 92 F-150 4X4 with a 300IL6 about 5 years ago and not having the money to rebuild it or buy another one I swapped in a C6.
Now I came upon a 95 F-250 4X4 351W E4OD and put it in my 92 but the wiring harness plugs are different and the smaller plug on the 92 drivers side wheel well has 4 wires while the 95 has 3.
The 92 has a yellow with red stripe which is the extra wire.
Could I just plug the 95 harness in or does something have to be changed?
UPDATE: It's just plug and go.
The missing wire was for the pressure control power, the new harness has it spliced into the power from the PCM relay.
So if you update to a newer tranny you will need the newer harness.
